In "Warriors Set Free: Warriors Stories - Mitch Roberts," Mitch shares his journey of transformation and redemption. He had a wonderful upbringing, surrounded by a stable family and a strong faith. However, after high school, he veered off track, immersing himself in the party scene while feeling guilty for not contributing like his peers who joined the military.
Driven by a sense of duty, Mitch enlisted in the Marines and was deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, as a machine gunner. Witnessing the daily dangers and the toll of war on his comrades, he returned home burdened by substance abuse, anger, anxiety, and depression. His struggles led to the breakdown of his marriage and multiple suicide attempts, leaving him at his lowest point.
But it was during his stay at the VA Hospital that Mitch received a lifeline—a book titled "Battlefield of Mine" by Joyce Meyers. Desperate for salvation, he prayed for deliverance, promising to follow God's guidance. Miraculously, his life began to change, and he discovered a deep desire to help other veterans suffering from PTSD and those who felt lost and without direction.
Mitch embarked on an apprenticeship, learning to conduct Freedom appointments with Steve, which proved to be a profound experience of healing and renewal. Through Warriors Set Free, Mitch found a Brotherhood he had lost when he left the Marine Corps—a community of veterans and believers in Christ who faced their own battles and supported one another. This newfound purpose gave him strength, hope, and the ability to overcome his own challenges.
Today, Mitch's story serves as a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith and community. He invites others who are hurting to seek help through Warriors Set Free, where they can find support, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose. Join the movement and discover the freedom that awaits you.
